THE LEDGER

Grand totals — everything we hold.

Two ledgers, kept honestly apart: what is counted — the verified archive every chart on this site is built on — and what is held aside, gathered and catalogued but not yet verified against the published set.

I

Counted — the archive proper

Verbatim, sourced, and locked. These are the numbers behind the Atlas, the topic maps, and all twenty-five studies.

COUNTED

Within the Hebrew master, the 903 letters of the four latest volumes (כט–לב) are OCR-quality text: they are counted, but 150 unreadable scans among them are excluded from the reading tools until cleaner text is located.

II

Held aside — gathered, not yet counted

Catalogued with full provenance, but excluded from every total above until each record passes the decisive check: is it already in the published volumes, or genuinely unpublished?

ALL TOLD
{{ grandAll }}
records of the Rebbe’s written word pass through this project — {{ grandCounted }} verified and counted, {{ grandAside }} held aside. How much the two ledgers overlap is exactly the open question: the held-aside records have not yet been checked against the published volumes.

Start from the Atlas for the shape of the archive, the Topic Map for what it talks about, or the teshura archive for what is still on its way in.
